In a candid revelation, Junaid Khan, the son of Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan, shared his thoughts on his debut film Maharaj and the impact of his lineage on his career. As he steps into the limelight, Junaid reflects on the advantages and challenges of being the son of one of the industry’s most celebrated actors.
What Junaid said
Junaid mentioned trying out for the role of Laal Singh Chadha in Aamir’s chat, saying, “Kabhi Kabhi kuch part aapko milte hain kuch nhi milte.” Maharaj ki pehle maine kuch auditions diye the, that much is true. Uss waqt nahi hue wo nahi. I can answer yes because my father has already discussed the Laal Singh Chaddha audition. If the picture was budgeted at a location where an actor is not well-known, then the film will not be released. Jab maine test kiya tha tab papa ko test kaafi pasand aaya tha par. You get some roles and you miss some, that’s how it’s always the case with movies. Yes, I did conduct auditions before to Maharaj. However, they did not occur.Laal Singh Chaddha was funded at a level where you wouldn’t put a new actor as the lead. So, I wasn’t selected for that film).”
He continued by stating, “But I will also admit ki if I was not Aamir Khan’s son, I would probably not have gotten Maharaj.” The crowd cheered for Junaid’s honesty.
